More about Explosions in the Sky:
Explosions in the Sky is a post-rock band known for their instrumental musical compositions. They are known for their awesome and magical guitar playing and touching live performances. The band’s members are Mark Smith and Munaf Rayani for guitars, Michael James for guitar and bass guitar, and Chris Hrasky for drums.

The band started out in Texas in 1999 and was able to release their first album (How Strange, Innocence) in 2000. The following year, they released their second album titled ‘Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever’. This is their first album under Temporary Residence Limited (NY-Based record label). In 2003, they were able to release another album titled ‘The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place’. This album gained positive reviews from music critiques. Also, this album was the band’s first attempt at love songs.

In 2005, Explosions in the Sky released their 4th studio album titled ‘The Rescue’. The track titles here are literally in line with the number of days they actually finished the songs. Track listings were ‘Day One’, ‘Day Two’, ‘Day Three’ … up to ‘Day Eight’.

‘All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone’ is the band’s 5th studio album released on February of 2007. A little trivia: The track ‘It’s Natural to Be Afraid’ that came from this album was used in ‘24/7: Pacquiao-Cotto’ – HBO’s boxing series’ last episode. Also, the track ‘The Birth and Death of the Day’ was used in a video titled ‘At the Gates of Wembley’. This video was made by FC Barcelona soccer team with the hope of encouraging everyone to the 2011 Champions League Final.

Explosions in the Sky’s latest album, released in April of 2011, was titled ‘Take Care, Take Care, Take Care’. Again, this album received a lot of very good reviews from the industry’s critiques.
